Anticoagulation with blood thinners is recommended for the management of several disorders and conditions, including: deep venous thrombosis (DVT’s), pulmonary embolism, heart conditions such as; atrial fibrillation, prosthetic heart valves and the prevention of some strokes.
Typically, Coumadin (Warfarin) and heparin are the medications used to thin the blood, and these medications require precise management, including periodic blood testing.
We provide anticoagulation services by appointment and referral only. Any questions, please contact your primary care provider.
